Head Protector Racquet (Performance Racquet) Racquet Composition & Technologies: Electronic Dampening System (EDS) actively dampens vibrations: Unlike conventional dampening systems, Head’s EDS is an active and electronically controlled system, consisting of piezoelectric fibers, a flexcircuit and a microchip. High-Tech piezoelectric fibers are situated between optimally designed electrodes. They actively change the mechanical energy of ball impact into electrical energy, and create a canceling counter-vibration under the control of the microchip. The flexcircuit transmits voltage and current to and from the microchip. Integrated in the racquet handle, the microchip recognizes the dampening mode and electronically creates a canceling counter-vibration and a reduction in vibration. Head EDS substantially reduces shock impact and vibrations resulting in significantly reduced stress on your arm with each and every shot.
